Great beachfront tables / had the nachos and guacamole - they were great. Also coconut and gin a Pacifico. Whole meal was 15. What’s not to love!
Great beach service! 200 pesos for two lounge chairs and a beach umbrella. One day I had the stuffed fish with seafood. Fairly OK. Worst frozen hamburger of my life! I thought I may get sick the way my stomach was grumbling after eating it. Service is great!
We came here to spend the day on the beach twice during our trip, and both times it was fantastic! You pay around 200 pesos to rent out two chairs for the day, right on the beach. While you lounge and relax, the waiters are very attentive and will bring you whatever you like from their menu. It feels very luxurious. They have beautiful birds at the restaurant and a crocodile near by that you can look at. Alex was our server both times and he was very nice and attentive! He watched our stuff for us while we went swimming and cut up the coconut from one of our drinks so we could eat it. Alex deserves a raise for all of his hard work! We hope to visit again soon, Arena will definitely be on our list of places to go when we do!
We ended up spending the whole day here on the lounge chairs and it was amazing! Beautiful view and right on the beach, with delicious drinks and excellent service. Our server was Alex and he was very attentive, as well as helpful! We will definitely be back before we leave and couldn’t recommend it more.
Restaurante Arena has the relaxed atmosphere you are looking for when spending a day in Playa Ropa! The food was tasty & the drinks were refreshing, but the best part was the superb service we received from Alex! He not only gave us the top menu recommendations (tacos de pescado al pastor are a must!), but he also gave us some great Zihua tips. Thank for such great hospitality, Alex, we hope to come back soon!
We have eaten here several times this trip for both breakfast and dinner and are honestly surprised each time by how consistently wonderful the food is. The waitstaff is attentive but not overbearing and the view of Zihuatanejo Bay is beautiful.
Stumbled across this place on La ropa beach on our trip to zihua and it was perfect. Great food/drinka great atmosphere, and our server, Alex, was amazing. He gave us great recommendations from the menu and also suggested some things to do around town. Hope to come back soon!
Arena is a short walk from our condo at Residencial Los Mangos and an occasional crocodile and iguana is just a couple sites you’ll see on the way to this beach front restaurant.. Angel was our waiter he did a great job!!.. I started with the cream of mushroom soup which rivaled any recipe from a 5 star restaurant.. My entree was seared rare ahi tuna and it was cooked perfectly accompanied with sauteed zucchini, asparagus, grilled tomatoes and a beet mash..Easily in San Francisco this would be a 50.00 dinner..Beautiful flavors and presentation!!!.. There are average tourist places on the beach but don’t walk past this one without trying the delicious food!!!!..
